The car of Jackie Stewart, 1973 World Champion, Tyrrell-005. Jackie's friend and teammate Francois Cevert died the same year (Watkins Glen, USA - 6 October 1973, 4.45pm). I will never forget the day, Francois sent me his signed photo just before his tragic accident, the stamp on the letter reads 5 October, 6.30pm, it reached me two weeks after his death. I remember myself crying, being a 13 year old boy. I was a fan of Ken Tyrrell then, his team and both his pilots. I also liked Ferrari but J.Stewart was my favorite. Ken Tyrrell was a fine man whose family-like team management was amazing. However, I take 1973 for the beginning of my Ferrari fascination, which has lasted ever since. Jackie Stewart retired from racing in 1973 and began his struggle for safer racing cars. I dare say it was him who opened the period of safety concern in F1 and he definitely deserves to be awarded a prize for that, should there be any. I would like to pay more attention to Tyrrell-Ford in the history section, therefore I am looking for some original materials to publish.
