Opening race of 55th season F1 was expected with great impatience. Tests prompted before season, that unchanged perhaps much opposite past season. It showed but in the end, that only Ferrari team came up to expectations. Perfect chassis, fast and unremitting motor - it gave condition, that both racers M.Schumacher and Barrichello didn't find grave rivals. They reflected about it also times in end: 3th Alonso came down over half minute, 4th R.Schumacher even already over minute. That they will between expected rivals of Ferrari belong Williams and Renault supposed. Huge disillusion were but McLaren. New car MP4/19 was only last year's MP4/18D with several modifications. He engineered in tests relatively good. But tests and race - it is a far cry from. Nor yet motor failed Mercedes too. Isn't nor yet fast nor yet enough steady. It showed in the qualification (10th Raikkonen, 12th Coulthard) and later also in race. It blackened from Raikkonen's motor again in 10th circuit and Coulthard was in the end like, that arrived at least on last scored place. Nice surprise was only English Jenson Button with car BAR-Honda on 6th place.
Order in end: 1. M.Schumacher, 2. Barrichello (both Ferrari), 3. Alonso (Renault), 4. R.Schumacher, 5. Montoya (both Williams), 6. Button (BAR), 7.Trulli (Renault), 8. Coulthard (McLaren).
