Not everybody knows, however, that you might as well say - everything has already been here. The blown diffuser appeared on a formula car in 1977, it was Easter MTX 1-04 of Karel Jilek. During two seasons, in the mind of an author, designer Vaclav Kral, it evolved into the KIN PROJECT that used the energy of exhaust gas to such off the boundary layer under the floor, which effectively postponed the aerodynamic stoppage under the car.

The other novelty, which cuts the corners in the 'Chapman' way, was the idea of McLaren. F-DUCT, a wing blown over by a hand sealed duct, during the season it took the course when the pupil became more than the master. The original McLaren system blew at the flap, a smaller part of the rear wing. Renault came up with a more efficient system - blowing at the main profile, which was re-applied not only by McLaren, but also Red Bull.
