The time has come. Up till now there was a lot of discussions, not only about the drivers, changing teams or quitting their careers, but also about engines. Will they survive the GP Bahrain or will they explode from overheating? Changing tires, having returned to the pits, will provide more speculations on the track, making GPs that more interesting, more thrilling and fans will cheer their favorites even more. My daughter, watching the championship together with me, expressed concern about the chaos among the teams, making the season confusing at first, though interesting.
Formula 1 became an issue also on the USW 2 m 145-146 MHz, where I broadcast under the OK9 FER codename, established in honor of the giant of F1 Enzo Ferrari. I hope to be able to broadcast on short wave range in 2006. There is a good deal of radio amateur fans. I expect Scuderia Ferrari, McLaren-Mercedes and Renault to be the key rivals, Honda and its pilots Rubens Barrichello and Jenson Button will also have its say, especially Rubens is eager to fight Michael Schumacher. Thanks to these two guys the season is going to be really interesting. I support and cross my fingers for Naraian Karthikeyan who could gain some more experience. In The Czech Republic there were some myths told about the knowledge of Bridgestone data from Ferrari, yet another predictions of Michael Schumacher's end of career, which I personally don't believe, knowing his spirit, I doubt he would leave GP in 2007. By the way, young Nico Rosberg is to join the fight and I'm really curious about the talent he took after his father. Brazilian Felipe Massa will copy Michael, get experience. The boy knows the rules and Ferrari is going to be strong this year on the personnel part, above all its professional attitude and team spirit both in the pits and the factory. Let's see whether also technologically. In testing it was up and down sometimes, but the test cars and the race cars are often like heaven and hell. Fernando Alonso is motivated beyond limits to win the second title and Renault is strong not only technologically but also personally. There is a lot to look forward to and let's hope all the duels would comply with the sporting spirit.The Ferrari flag is to flutter on the pole in front of my house in Unhost again.
