It is probably a system of pulling rods operated by foot from the driver's seat or a system of pulling rods operated electronically from the steering wheel with the use actuating motor and pulling rods. I noticed the casings of the pulling rods connections - hard metal/metal or metal/silicon/metal, as well as the rubber liners metal/liner/metal. Of course these are just speculations, as to our enquiry at the Red Bull Racing we received a reply that such information is not public, which is understandable, it is, after all, the team's know how.
I expect the metal to be anti corrosive, I would probably choose a higher contents of carbon for self-lubrication metal/metal and long durability. To ensure that the rods would not jam during the race you need, in my opinion, only a metal with a higher contents of carbon and some parts would have to be changed as a precaution prior to each race. The rear wing readjustment is not so frequent during the race so the system might last quite long?I am presenting this with the experience of a former employee of Poldi Kladno steelworks.
