Cars’ tests
As we promised, we will not regard technical parameters as much as the usage and zest.
My first concern was whether I could fit in. But as you can see, even me "big and stout" could sit in comfortably, being held by the shape of the seats. The feeling when I first set on the road was amazing (I tested other Jaguar 3 years ago so I knew what to expect). Pleasant, ergonomic steering wheel, which did not slip. Enough room at the backseats, even behind a driver size of a wardrobe. I do not care much about torque, horsepower or consumption. I am used to petrol engines but this diesel was a surprise. Because it is not there, probably. It is smooth and silent and you cannot hear it and you do not notice anything when shifting down. It can climb uphill with sharp curves as if it was nothing and it has lots off grip even at high speeds. 17" wheels and sport setting of the chassis are not ideal for our pothole roads, this is however usual with sport-like cars.
The car is excellent in heavy traffic or on a highway, it accelerates swiftly from 50 to 180kph, brakes well and generally nothing dramatic happens. Driving the car is very comforting experience, nothing disrupts you from speaking when travelling. You can hear something over 200kph. The panel seems to be transparent and clear. The central console follows the excellent standard of manufacturing and does not push your leg as I worried at first. You can see the situation behind the car without any unusual obstacles.The car is both representative and sporty. Furthermore it can take your family and you anywhere. Managers can definitely profit from the Jaguar label, older people appreciate the peaceful comfort. Jaguar X-Type is able to satisfy anybody. It is a classical example of value for good money.
