Lesson on strategy

The famous Monza hosted the last of F1 shows in Europe. And it was a real gala performance, though only for one team - Brawn GP. Ross Brawn gave his lesson on strategy by using a certain pre-set amount of fuel to reach the time standards for a one-stop strategy. No one seemed to wonder that both cars are always by the same one second slower than in the previous practice session. It all cleared during the qualification, when it was already late to do anything about it. Both Brawns with their tanks half full qualified to the third row. Than waited for the first pit stop of the four in the front, following a two-stop strategy. All that was need then were a couple of "qualification" laps with reasonably empty tanks and their advantage stretched by miles. Nothing could be changed, no matter how hard Hamilton pushed the envelope of the laws of physics, which resulted in a dumb crash in the last lap anyway. K. Räikkönen in his standard way kept the third place ahead of the pushing Sutil, but his loss was no less than thirty seconds. The fifth Alonso lost one minute and the last to fight, Vettel, almost one and half. .
Four races before the end, the Championship seems to be decided. The only theoretical rival of the Brawns, who will duel for the title, might be Red Bull, which somehow lost touch recently. K. Räikkönen, even if he won four times can not get over Button. In the Constructor's Table the chances of Red Bull are a bit higher, as they both are able to score and the forty-point difference may be erased by two doubles. That, however, considering the current situation is just an academic debate. They will lose points to Ferrari and McLaren, and also Sutil. .The bottom line is, that nobody is going to waste their resources on this season but rather aim everything they have at the next one.
