Mad-Croc Racing to Brno for the third round of the FIA GT1 World Championship
BRNO - CZECH REPUBLIC. The third round of the FIA GT1 World Championship moves to the challenging Brno Automotodrom in the Czech Republic this upcoming weekend. The FIA GT Championship last visited Brno in 2008, when Karl Wendlinger and Ryan Sharp took the win in an Aston Martin DB9 ahead of four Corvettes, headed by Mike Hezemans and Fabrizio Gollin. Mad-Croc Racing will again enter the two Corvette C6.R. Xavier Maassen and another Dutch driver will race the #11 Corvette, while Pertti Kuismanen and Mika Salo will be on duty in the #12 American GT1. Mika Salo replaces Corvette works driver Oliver Gavin, who will race a Corvette GT2 in the American Le Mans Series. Mad-Croc Racing will also enter a Ford GT in the FIA GT3 European Championship.Mika Salo:
Mika Salo is of course a former ex-F1-driver, who drove over 100 GP's for Ferrari, Sauber, Lotus, Toyota, BAR and Tyrell, finishing as high as 2nd in the German GP in 1999. After his F1-career Mika Salo followed the path of the Le Mans sportcars and GT-racing, with two titles in the American Le Mans Series, victories in GT2 in Sebring, Le Mans and Petit Le Mans and third spot in the Spa 24 Hours for Ferrari.TV Coverage for FIA GT1 World Championship
