March Engineering Ltd., Bicester, Oxford County.
The firm was established at the end of 60s. This small firm's name derives from its owners. They were Max Mosley - business and legal issues, Alan Rees - Britain's Formula 2 ex-champion, responsible for the racing and sport, Graham Coaker as the Production Head and Robin Herd, the Chief Constructor. We are introducing one of the first cars, March 701 with a frameless body, riveted of aluminium sheet and steel sections, with the front cockpit's cross face made of light alloy, supplemented with a steel tube frame. The Ford Cosworth engine used also as a load bearing element. The wheels were 13' in the front, 15' rear. Length 3960mm, height 920mm, clear height 95mm.
