F1 construction
- proper sound - a simple help!
There has been
a lot of coverage concerning the sound of Formula 1, spectators want them to
scream, that's the right STUFF. Spectators don't give a damn if the driver can
change gears based on the sound of the engine, they want them ROARING!
Dear constructors, why don't you give them the sound, pimp up the tail pipes of the Formula 1 cars? Any guy keen on tuning can tell you how, but... Yes, there is a big but, something extra in the tailpipe can make the engine roar, but it could also limit the power output of the engine, which is something nobody wants. However, there is a way how to tackle the obstacle. The final part of the exhaust pipe is, in fact, a whistle which needs just the power of the moving air, gas to work. Why not mount the exhaust with a whistle, which would change its sound with the change of speed, thus imitating the sound for the spectators. Maybe not the best of ideas but sitting at home doing nothing isn't too good either.
