Skoda Baghira Spider |
| Vaclav Kral built Baghira based on the Formula Skoda F3. The chasis comes from the 1964 F3, but it was widened and fit with a body work. Skoda 120 was the original engine. Marcel Pipek, who bought the car, installed a Skoda 130RS engine and raced in CR championship 1300ccm. He tried to use Skoda 720 engine for the German Championship but retreated back to 130RS, because of its higher power and less weight. He ended his racing career in 1980. |
Jaroslav Prasek bought Baghira in 1989 in a state of partial disassembly and after a long renovation raced it again. Baghira appeared in an regular event in 1996 as a historical racing prototype, installed with Skoda 720 engine to add up some spice. Jaroslav Prasek raced regularly until 2002 and after a year's pause his daughter, Edita, sat in the cockpit, taking part in this year's MCR ZAV series and some of the Super Sprint Challenges.
