The qualification was quite exceptionally rescheduled from Saturday to Sunday morning. The reason was the typhoon. The practice went without problems and then there was the Sun and the heat of dramatic events. Michael Scumacher won, Ralf Schumacher came second and Jenson Button was the third. Kimi and Rubens cars had a contact in the lap 14 before the finish line, the collision being the end for both of them. B.A.R. Honda definitely took the third place in the Constructors Table. The Renaults would have to win in the last race together with B.A.R. gaining no points, which is nonsense.
