This year's Formula 1 season started traditionally in Melbourne by the GP of Australia. The race was dominated by the red cars from Maranello, which was obvious already in the practice sessions, on Friday - F.Massa, and on Saturday - K.Räikkönen. The race itself went without excitement. F.Massa, because of the gear box problems, started from the last place on the grid and made his way to the final sixth place. The F1 freshman Lewis Hamilton managed to stand on the podium in his very first race, on the third place, the current World Champion F.Alonso coming second.
