This year's GP was, according to the tradition now, raced with the clouds of flying sand dust, which is not good for the cars nor people. L.Hamilton crashed his monopost as early as the practice and had to take the T-car. According to R.Kubica's place - the pole position - it is obvious that BMW SAUBER are making huge progress and they must be taken into consideration for this season.

The start did not go well for Kubica, as he was overtaken immediately by Massa (standings after the start: Massa, Kubica, Räikkönen, Kovalainen, Trulli, Heidfeld, Rosberg, Hamilton, Weber) and also by Kimi Räikkönen in the second lap. In the second lap Hamilton ran into the slower Alonso and had to go to the pits immediately, his front wing got torn away. That was the only serious collision of the race. The race went in the standard way with two pit stops. F.Massa was leading from the start to the finish, before Kimi Räikkönen and R.Kubica. The American singer Eric Clapton waved the chequred flag. The fact that BMW SAUBER is currently leading the Constructors Table is a phenomenal success for them. On the contrary, the race was a complete failure for Hamilton, who did not score a single point for his 13th place. The leading positions are quite levelled, F.Massa, who did not reach points in the first two races is only 9 points behind the first one, the small point difference will definitely be very interesting, should it last till the end of the Championship.
