This year's fast GP of Belgium was dull and simple at first, but very dramatic in the end, and the drama culminated even after the finish. The dominating teams were Ferrari and McLaren Mercedes. Everyone wanted to win, however Kimi, Lewis and Felipe. Kimi might have reached the fourth victory in a sequence in Spa, which he almost succeeded to do. L.Hamilton won the pole position in the last lap of the qualification.

?p align=justify>The leading position saw a lot of changes - L.Hamilton, F.Massa and Kimi Räikkönen. K. Räikkönen was leading the race most of the time, before L.Hamilton and F.Massa. Towards the end the circuit got wet and the drama started, the cars were over spinning, dodging each other and passing. The only collision with the wall happened to K. Räikkönen, which meant Lewis Hamilton won, followed by F.Massa and N.Heidfeld.The jury decided about 25 s penalty for Hamilton for his passing manoeuvre, which put him to the third place. Therefore the winner is Massa, before Heidfeld and Hamilton. This also closed the gap between Massa and the leading Hamiton to 2 points.
