This year's GP of Canada has been, after a long time, something different than another regular race. Just the mere fact that the Safety Car was out four times indicates, that the Grand Prix in Montreal 2007 was both exciting and chaotic. Lewis Hamilton won the start-finish style first time in his F1 career, which makes him the only driver who didn't leave the first position from the beginning of the Championship. That is also one of the reasons why he is leading the current classification with 48 points. An F1 novice who beats even the true masters.
In the lap 22 Albers retires after a trip to the grass, where he lost his front wing. That sends the Safety Car out for the first time, in the lap 20 after the start. In the lap 26. Speed's Spyker ends up in the barrier and SC is deployed again. In the lap 27 R.Kubica taps J.Trulli's car from behind and his car exits the track, spinning several times, is smashed to pieces against a wall and flies across the track. In that moment, it seems impossible for him to survive. In the end, he gets just twisted ankle and concussion and might even start in the next GP of USA. It was one of the most serious accidents of recent years. Safety Car again. In the lap 16 V.Liuzzi hits the wall - Safety Car, which stays until the lap 11 before the end of the race. In the lap 12, J.Trulli tries to catch up with the rest of the drivers and hits the tires coming out of the pit lane, which is the end for him.
