This time everyone expected a major triumph of F.Massa that would return him to the game for the title. And that was exactly what happened. Felipe went to the first place right after the start. In the first lap, the standings behind him were: Räikkönen , Hamilton, Kubica, Heidfeld, Alonso. In the first corner after the start Fisichela overspinned blocking Trulli. Kubica was the first one in the pit stop in the lap 11. Sixteen laps before the end Hamilton's front tire burst, but he made it to the pit stop and came fifth in the final classification.
