The GP of Hungary was a major thrill thanks to the weather. There hasn't been any rain at the GP of Hungary for the past 20 years and the conditions generally were far from summer, the temperature being around 17°C. M. Schumacher started from the 11th place after a penalization as well as Alonso from the 15th. The Pole position went to K. Räikkönen this time with F. Massa next to him. There were several dramatic situations during the race, the retired being Räikkönen, Alonso, M.Schumacher two laps to the finish from the second place. J. Button won first time in his life, Pedro de la Rosa came second, Heidfeld third.
