The worst day for the Scuderia Ferrari in the last 20 years. The race itself was dominated by the red cars from Maranello, it was dry with two pit stops. Ferrari stared already in qualification as Massa reached the pole position and M.Schumacher the second place. Alonso started from the 5th position. There was no surprise at the beginning. M.Schumacher exchanged Massa in the first place after several laps gaining advantage slowly, Fernando Alonso got to the second place, Massa kept behind him, followed by another Renault - Fisichella. After the second pitstop it seemed that all have been decided in the GP of Japan. Fifteen laps before the end smoke emerged from Michael's car and he had to retire. Though being a professional, he still is a human and there was not far from tears in his eyes, no wonder. Coming back to the pit stop he was smiling again, although it was a smile of a pro, no doubt he would need to hide somewhere and cry. Even the big boys cry and it is no shame. Fernando Alonso took no chances and won before Felipe Massa and his team mate Fisichella. Renault not only secured its leading position in the driver's Championship but also gained advantage in the Constructors Table. These things happen in sport, Michael lost his good luck today and fate played with Ferrari badly. Should Michael win the last GP of Brazil and Fernando not gain any points, he still has a chance to become the World Champion. Otherwise, despite a possible win, 1 point is enough for Alonso to win his second Champion Title. There is also a fight between Alonso and Fsiichella for the third place. I consider this day to be the saddest for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro in the last 20 years. This year's Championship is going to be dramatic till the last minutes of the last race in Brazil in two weeks.
