A dramatic race from the beginning to the end. 7 pilots retired right after the start, others consequently in the following laps. There were altogether only 9 drivers to finish the race. The Ferraris' speed showed as early as in the qualification when they beat others by 1 s per lap. M. Schumacher and F. Massa changed their leading position. It was M. Schumacher to win in the end, Massa came second, G. Fisichella took the third place for the Renault F1 Team. Considering the Climber of The Year in F1 2006 my tip would be Massa who made his way among the best. His talent and the Ferrari car took their toll.
