The Grand Prix of Malaysia - It is going to be the same like last year!

During the second GP 2006 in Malaysia all teams must have adjusted the chassis and engine settings to 35° heat. The engines also lost some power. The qualification send no less than 5 drivers back because of their engines being changed. Michael Schumacher regardless of his 4th lap time started from the 14th position. Coulthard - 11/19, Barrichello 12/20, Massa 16/21, R. Schumacher 10/22. Fisichella did well coming for his third pole position. Alonso experienced some bad luck, as his refueling malfunctioned filling his tank to the top. He couldn't reach better than 8th place with the heavy car. Fresman Rosberg surprised again with his third place on the grid. Button with Honda was the second, there were both McLarens behind the second row of Williams' cars, fourth row belonged to Alonso and Klien, Trulli and Villeneuve were in the fifth. The start of the race, however, changed a lot. Mainly Alonso made his way to the the third position behind Fisichella and Button in the first corner. On the contrary Rosberg fell behind. Even though in a pre-race interview he said that his father, former excellent pilot himself, warned him not damage his engine, which was exactly what stopped him in lap 6. Fisichella, Button and Alonso were changing in the first three positions. The Italian stayed there longest though. Montoya kept his solid 4th place behind this triplet, both Ferrari drivers approached him towards the end - M. Schumacher and F. Massa. Renaults got their first double in the end. Fisichella won before Alonso, Button finished about 19 s behind them. Montoya won another 5 points, Ferrari dropped tactics - Massa reached 4 and Schumacher 3 points. Webber and R. Schumacher also got points. GP Malaysia proved that the reign of Renault will probably continue. The engines spun at 19,000 rpm without problems and both experienced pilots used the cars' potential. McLaren has had the same problems like last year so far. Honda improved a lot. Ferrari, after an excellent start in Bahrain, returned to their last year's place. It appears that this season is beginning to resemble the last one more and more. The only difference is that there are more runners up for the second place behind Renault.
