The Formula 1 season 2006 is gone. It was very interesting, full of unexpected and surprise, with clear drivers‘ performance. R.Kubica made himself most visible among the novices. J.Montoya and J.Villeneuve left during the season. At the end of it, also M.Schumacher announced his retirement.

The Formula 1 Season 2007 is ahead of us, what might it bring???? M.Schumacher left and it is hard to guess the best 2007 driver. However, considering experience, engines and chassis, team's background we could expect Ferrari to make its try for the title. I suppose its F.Massa's turn, he has enough experience, he uses his brain when driving. In contrast, K. Räikkönen, though fast, is a little bit different. Also his position in Ferrari - habits, system of work, it all takes time and some getting used to. We will see how long it is going to take. The McLaren's change - F. Alonso. I have a problem imagining the hot blooded Spaniard without strong and reliable Mercedes engines. Should the team suffer the same problems like in the past, the communication with Fernando will probably be pretty difficult and it will be obvious in his performance. The team couple Button and Barrichello will be very competitive again and I think that the team will fight for the title. The last two years proved the increasing tendency to win. R.Kubica and further support of his team will bring the corresponding points. Remaining teams need to reveal their drivers before anything can be said about them. |
