American Racer Chloe Chambers to Represent MoneyGram Haas F1 Team in F1 Academy Series

KANNAPOLIS, North Carolina (January 17, 2024) – MoneyGram Haas F1 Team is delighted to announce that American racer Chloe Chambers will represent MoneyGram Haas F1 Team for the 2024 F1 Academy series, competing with Campos Racing.
The 19-year-old, from Fort Wayne, Indiana, will be supported by America’s Formula 1 team in the second season of the F1 Academy, as the series switches to compete on the race schedule of select Formula 1 grand prix weekends.
Chambers began karting at the age of eight, and over nine years won multiple regional and national championships. In 2021, Chambers secured her first opportunity to race in single-seaters – competing in the F4 United States Championship – scoring her first point at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
Chambers competed in the 2022 W Series, partnering series champion Jamie Chadwick. To secure her seat, the American racer was invited to participate in two tests, one in Arizona, America and a second in Barcelona, Spain. Against numerous prospects and automatic qualifiers from the previous season, Chambers fought through and was confirmed to compete for Jenner Racing.
To supplement her single-seater experience, Chambers competed in the 2023 Porsche Sprint Challenge North America, in a Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport, as one of their junior drivers. She also participated in the 2023 Castrol Toyota Formula Regional Oceania Championship in New Zealand, and in doing so became the first female polesitter, first female winner and was presented with the "Most Improved Driver" award from the series.
Away from the race track, Chambers also holds the Guinness World Record for fastest vehicle slalom. Set in 2020, aged 16, the American set a record-breaking time of 47.45 seconds, driving a Porsche 718 Spyder.
As the selected driver for MoneyGram Haas F1 Team, Chambers will race in a bespoke livery and custom race suit. She will also be fully integrated into the team, having access to team personnel to support her on-track activities, regular contact with the engineering team during race weekends, and will feature in marketing and communications activities.

I did some testing over the winter with Campos Racing, and the team and I work very well together.”

The 2024 F1 Academy series is set to compete across seven locations, with two races taking place throughout a weekend. The season commences at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on March 7-9.
