FERRARI AND MCLAREN TO BE STRONGEST TEAMS
adrivo.com - For McLaren CEO Martin Whitmarsh, once the cars are out on the track, everything else fades into the background. The espionage affair, the record fine - that"s all history. This weekend in Australia, the racing starts all over again. "That"s what we"re in this sport for," he says in an interview with adrivo.com Motorsport Magazin.
He believes that McLaren have made good progress over the winter and built a competitive car. "Ferrari and ourselves were the strongest teams. Let"s see how things pan out in the next few races," he continues. "According to our analyses, we and Ferrari seem to have the edge on the rest of the field. We"re certainly going to be winning races. The question is whether we"ll win enough of them to take the world championship."

THINGS WON"T GET BETTER UNTIL MOSLEY GOES
adrivo.com - Paul Stoddart never says never. "I still love Formula One. You never know what might happen," he says in an interview with adrivo.com Motorsport Magazin, hinting at a possible comeback with his own F1 team. "If my application had been accepted, I"d be here with my team today." That"s the stage at which Prodrive got stuck.
But there is one major obstacle: "Until Max Mosley goes, I"m going to have problems with the internal politics and I"m not going to feel comfortable in F1." In fact, Mosley has signalled his intention to retire in 2009, "but only Mosley or God makes the decision about whether he really goes. Unfortunately, it"s not up to anyone else," says Stoddart in his interview with adrivo.com. He also returns to the penalty imposed on McLaren: "Max has done a lot of good things in the FIA and in other areas. But all of this is in danger of being forgotten because of his private vendetta against one man. That"s very sad for the sport."
